View Full Version : What's my next step w/ the CA's?

I'm dealing with 2 CA's on my hubbys reports, and truthfully, I don't want to have to file. I just want this to be done.

The first CA verified twice while in validation, marked account in dispute only after receiving the estoppel (I have the exact date they reported the CRA's) It's only a $70 debt. I just sent out a settlement letter, but am not hopeful. It's a CA w/in my zip code, and the OC is local too. They said to have my lawyer contact them if I decide to go to court. All they have sent me for validation is copies of statements. It's a city utility bill.

The 2nd CA just fedexed us a few copies of statements, a phone log w/ times and dates the services were turned on and off. The OC wrote a letter to the CA telling them that a signature is not required since it's a utility, and service is provided over the phone. I just sent out the estoppel last week. What should my next step be? I disputed while in the validation process, and they verified w/ both CRA's (TU deleted for some reason)

I would be willing to settle both of these for deletion. I'm just getting burned out, and want this done. I'm about finished w/ my reports, but hubbys are too much.
Both of these debts have DOLAs of 1/2000. SOL in my state is 6 years.

TIA for any advice

If you have violations, sue. If not, you're outta luck.
