consumer credit counseling woes

I joined a credit counseling program 4/1999. Due to sloppy work practices and late payments made to my creditors, I have incurred late payment fees and overlimit fees on more than one of my accounts. Dialog with co. has been suspended. Do I have any recourse, short of lawsuit? Thanks
