View Full Version : demand action or ask for assistance?

jtd
I have recieved a partial response from Expirian (2 deletes, 4 updates), but nothing at all from Equifax or TransUnion. 33 days have passed. Should I demand action and make threats or go hat in hand looking for a friendly voice to sweetalk?? please advise. your 5 minutes will not go for naught.

Well in this case, I would approach it in a very kind sweet manner, much can be done finding the right person to talk too, and explaining your situation. Play naive ask that you thought it was thirty days, and that your trying to close a mortgage soon, and need these resolved. Explain that you have gone to the creditors and all of them said to dispute and they would not verify. Since these disputes are already 30 days old, the person your speaking with may very well delete the accounts or mark them paid or paying as agreed. Just make sure your talking with someone who can actually do this , and not simply make a note in the system. If this route fails, then there are plenty of threads here to read about what other course of action you can take. But I would always try the quickest and simplest, which is a friendly voice. I am speaking from experience as i have been able to get a repo and about 4 accounts with late pays removed from all three CB's. havent had to take some of the actions some of the people here have had too, but then again.. I am not dealing with the same situations.
