I need help understanding all the information I have digested on this site regarding credit scores received from the big 3. Actually for me it is only the big 2. I ordered my reports from all 3 about 18 months after ch7. Scores were as follows: equifax - no score as i didn't pay for it as I was turned down for credit. Transunion 569 and experian 611. I disputed all negative info last month. Got new Transunion report with some deletions, although still have a foreclosure reported on my first mortgage (which was paid when I refinanced), Foreclosure actually was from second lender who then sold the loan to another lender who actually foreclosed) They didn't report on the bureaus, so I disputed the foreclosure on the first mortgage (obtained in 1985 and paid in 1991) I think the dope at the CRA put the info on the wrong creditor (but how did they then verify this??). Anyhow, aside from all that, I got my transunion report today with everything else correct and my score was 671. To my dismay, now I see that this score means nothing? I tried to get my equifax score but they couldn't give it to me (said I would get a full refund). Question is, what should I do about mortgage reporting foreclosure since they are not the company that foreclosed and... is the score received by transunion worthless? please advise. Thanks
