When I ck my credit reports on line does this count as a inquiry and lower my score? Does anyone know if they will ever stop inquiries from effecting your credit score?

Christine
Your own inquiries with the bureaus won't lower your scores.

And, I am suing for a court order to prohibit the use of inquiries in FICO scores.

t5hats good to know-so even if i use privacy guard for a tri mergered report it wont lower my score or consumer info.com?-- Im glad to know someone out there is working on the inquiry and score -Ihope it works- Do you think they WILL charge the scoring sytem? I think its very messed up. My equifax score jumped up last month to 723 , This month its 670. nothing changed on it that I can see to make such a jump then drop.

Christine
*Some* of the tri-mergeds do/did count against you, I'm not sure if that's been fixed. Look at your Beacon or the TU FICO inquiries that are included in the score. The info is only a few clicks away!

"My equifax score jumped up last month to 723 , This month its 670. nothing changed on it that I can see to make such a jump then drop."

You need to look at your Beacon info online - I'm sure you'll find changes there, check the reasons.

And I'm sure that ** I ** will not get the scoring system changed. I'm just putting the facts out there, if enough people file their own suits, in many courts across the country, THEN we'll see some changes.

Thanks, Do you know where i can find accurate scores on line. The one I get from equifax on line seems to match what the mortgage companies gets but as for my experian report at experians www.creditexpert. com or trans union at truecredit.com or when i get all three from privacyguard.com -- the credit scores I get are NOT matching what the MTG companies are getting---- I assume the only score thats accurate is from equifax on line. IS there anyway to get accurate scores from all three on line or do I need to depend on a MTG compant pulling my reports for accurate scores from trans union or experian?
Thanks fgor all your help.

Christine
There's no such thing as an "accurate" score. You can go to one broker and have a 650 Beacon and the same day get another one that's 670.

There are various versions of Fair Isaac's software used by brokers/lenders.

You can get your Fair Isaac Empirica at TU, and of course there's lots more info at Credit Score Basics (http://creditforum.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1248)

My wife's Equifax report under the heading "hard inquiries" shows Equifax Information Services twice, and the 3-in-one reporting agency once.

I am sending demands for reclassification to Equifax now.

Christine
That is just bizarre. Please let us know how that goes.

Which 3 in 1 is it?
