View Full Version : USA Credit

Hi Christine,

I went for the USA credit thing, and it was a bust. The merchandise is overpriced, and even though I bought something and paid for it, they still haven't contacted the CRA's. They claim they contacted them in October 2002 and will not do it again, and that I should contact the CRA's to make them put the information on the reports. My understanding is, however, that the CRA's simply report what they're told - I can't imagine they would suppress something like this. Being too lazy/stubborn to investigate something I can see, but being too lazy to simply report something? Probably not. Also, USA took an inordinate amount of time to ship the item I ordered - over a month without any updates as to progress. Their "customer service" personnel aren't helpful - rather, they're defensive. I really can't recommend them, although if anyone has any ideas as to how I can get my good credit line with them reported, I'm happy to hear about it.

Thanks, marsimms

Christine
There's no way the bureaus will add it because YOU contact them.

This sure sounds strange, do you have an URL for them?

Hi Christine,

The only URL I have for them is www.usacreditsuperstore.com. It might be that helpful, though - the only contact they make with you is over the phone. The customer service email simply signals a message sent back to you to ask you to call them.

Do you know if there is there anything I can do to get them to report my info like they said they would?

Thanks,
marsimms

Just finally got to look at their site. From their FAQ:

http://www.usacreditsuperstore.com/faq.asp

"How often is my account reported to the Credit Bureau(s)?

Within thirty days of membership your account status will be reported to the Credit Bureaus. Your status is reported each month thereafter. Remember, payments must be received by the due date to keep your account in good standing. "

I would e-mail them at memberservices@usacdt.com and inquire about the reporting.

There are THREE credit bureaus, you need to find out WHO they reported to.

According to their FAQ, they should be reporting to at least ONE CRA.

See what you can find out and let us know.

Also, what is your credit limit?

Hi Christine,

I was reluctant to call again, because the rude customer "service" agent I spoke with two months ago told me flat out that they would not report again, and that I ought to contact the CRA to make them list it...(?) But upon your request, I called again today, and the woman this time was pretty nice - she verified all my information, informed me that they only report to one CRA - Trans Union, and told me I should check for it again in 30 - 45 days. I guess we'll see.

Guess we'll have to wait, please let us know what happens!

I just received my credit report yesterday, and they did indeed report it to TU. Another good TL, and it offsets the credit to balance ratio, so it's not all bad. I did find out also that USA credit and the All American gold are the same company, although initially they do not lead you believe so.

So, that's what I know about USA credit. Y'all have a nice day now.

Christine
Much appreciate your update!

It's too bad they don't report to all 3 CRAs.
