View Full Version : How do you save the new Credit Watch scores?

Christine
All I get is "this Web page could not be saved."

javan
doesn't look like u can.

Christine
So it's not just me, thanks.

Very clever, didn't know you could do that.

Christine
"Why can't I save the page with the credit score info?"

Just sent that through the form at the Credit Watch site.

DanceRat
Do a screen shot and save it in word or paint in accessories.

Christine
Thanks, that DOES work, but it takes forever and takes a tremendous amount of space. I'm trying to get my clients to send everything as .html if at all possible.

I'm wondering how it can be that a web page can't be saved. And I sent another request to Equifax about that last night.

DanceRat
I hadn't really tried it before, but I can print my EQ credit score page. Um, what about if you position your mouse up at the top away from a picture and then left click and choose print? Granted, it's not saving it, but it's still a copy.

I keep editing this because I keep finding new stuff. Try saving it as a different format, like mht and then see if that saves.

Christine
I can print it all right. But do I really want to store hundreds of printed pages?

I did print mine last night for my suit against Cap One, but what a WASTE of paper - and it's so hard to find stuff.

When people start suing over their scores, and I hope many will, they'll need those records.

Christine
I just tried .mht, and it worked, ONCE. This is odd.

What's .mht?

DanceRat
If you search MSDN online
http://search.microsoft.com/dev/?MSCOMTB=ICP_%20SEARCH%20MSDN ) for MHTML
you will get quite a few hits, including "Key Concepts of MHTML" at
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/sdkdoc/cdo/mhtml20_3xv0.htm

Sorry, I am so busy this weekend getting my mortgage application together, and copying and organizing.

So far I have

5 years of W-2s and tax documents.
1 year of paystubs.
1 year of bank account copies.
Letters of references and ledger copies from past two landlords.
My last 24 months of payment history on all credit accounts open or closed from the last five years. (from the creditors)
My utility bills for the past year.
Letter of explanation for my only three remaining derogs left.
Copy of car title
Copy of insurance letter stating State Farm loves me and will be my home insurer.

I can't think of anything else they could POSSIBLY ask for pre-approval. Hoping this will outweigh my negative things!! The underwriter is using FannieMae manual something which is supposed to be kinder to people such as myself.

And the rates are so low - gotta do it now.

Christine
Well, I've got bad news for you:

MORE paper is NOT better!!!! Didn't they give you a LIST of what they want?

DanceRat
Actually, they said more paper is better. I wonder why? Yes, I have a list, but when I told my loan officer what all I had gathered, she laughed and said I should come and help her do her job... she is really nice, she helped me buy my jeep (used) on a 60 month loan for 6.25 percent 9500.00 when I had 8 negatives and only 2 positives two years ago. I didn't know I could clean up my credit at the time! It's my credit union, but they really work hard for us, and most of the people in my department have either gone through them (they turn and sell to CW but do all the "work" of manually underwriting, hoping I say this right) or Chase. I am meeting with her Tuesday, so we'll see what she says then about all my piles of paper! I know that a friend of mine went through a loan from them last summer and was asked for additional paper after he turned in the first initial batch - so I am heading them off at the pass, and providing for it ahead of time. I am curious, why would that be a bad thing if everything I show is sterling?

Christine
When I tell a client that I still need their TU report, I don't want them faxing me the last 25 versions of their Experian instead - to make up for the missing TU.

Does that make sense?

Do you ENJOY looking through inches of paper looking for the ONE piece of paper you need?

Do you like to spend 5 hours on paperwork instead of 2?

Do you hate trees?

:)

Christine
Well, Dancerat got her pre-approval, so back to scores.

You CAN save the score page with .mht extensions. Don't know what happened that one time, but now it works consistently.

HOWEVER, don't just save the page with the main reason, be sure you click on the links there and you can get a ton of GREAT detailed info.
